svlogd sub-directory log rotation?

Hi, folks. I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to somehow
coax svlogd to rotate logs into sub-directories. So for instance, I
would like to have a log file that would be named:

  _at_40000000573253570e496304.s

to instead be rotated to:

  _at_4000000057325357/_at_40000000573253570e496304.s

(or the like).

svlogd doesn't seem to have that feature, but I wonder anyone has figure
out a clever way to achieve something similar.

Fwiw, the reason I'm interested in this is that I have an application
for which I need to keep all logs indefinitely. Rotating them into
sub-directories would help keep the number of files from expanding into
an unmanageable number. So if someone has any other suggestions on how
to manage log rotation without pruning, I'm all ears.

Thanks.

jamie.
